About Me!

Hello!

My name is Carrie Adams. I received my bachelor’s Degree from UW-LaCrosse and masters Degree from UW- Stevens Point.  I taught in the Wausau School District for 33 years and decided to try something new!

This is my first year at Lakeland STAR Academy.  I am currently teaching middle school students, as well as teaching baking/ culinary skills at the Rising Star Transition Center.

My favorite moments are spending time with my husband, two boys, and my dog.  We enjoy being on the lake, Packer games, and game nights.

Why Lakeland STAR?

I chose Lakeland STAR because I had the wonderful opportunity to combine my favorite two things:  my love of teaching students, as well as being able to teach students life skills in the kitchen.

Brittany Kozey

Introduction:

Hello! My name is Brittany Kozey and this is my third year teaching at STAR. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin and earned my bachelor degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  I moved to the North woods 7 years ago and I absolutely love it! I enjoy going boating, being at  home with my daughters, baking, reading a good book every now and then, and going on walks. 

Why Lakeland STAR? 

Lakeland STAR provides students with the opportunity to grow and learn in a way that meets their needs by offering differentiation, modifications, etc. The staff works together to make sure each student is comfortable and is getting the most out of their academic, social, and emotional needs and skills. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and provides tons of amazing opportunities that allow flexibility with our students. I am very excited for my journey at STAR School and Academy.
