Niki Schlitz

My name is Niki Schiltz, and this is my 12th year teaching. I am excited to be back in the Northwoods, as I was born and raised in Tomahawk, WI. I went to college at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where I received my degree in Art Education. I love being outside and spend as much time there as possible. My husband, Andy, and I enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, waterfalling, snowshoeing, rock hunting, and just exploring and having adventures as much as possible. When I can’t be outside, I love to spend time cooking, creating, and spending time with our dog, Ranger.

Why Lakeland Star?

Lakeland Star provides me with a unique and amazing opportunity to work with a diverse group of learners, to meet them where they are at, and to help them grow to reach their greatest potential. Each day I am able to work with students to help them have new and different art experiences and to explore ways in which art helps us express, communicate, relax, and experience life and the world around us.
